Tennessee Lake Management and Tennessee Pond Management: Big Bass

Both of these fish were caught the same afternoon by the owner and his grandson.  One of the fish weighed six pounds five ounces, and the other weighed six pounds fourteen ounces.They were fishing their two-acre pond that we have been managing for them since July 2014.  This is their trophy-bluegill pond - it's not even managed for big bass.  Just think what kind of largemouth they'll be catching in a few years from their seven-acre trophy-bass pond we're about to stock for them.EDIT: On May 7 the landowner informed me that his neighbor, a few days earlier, had caught a seven-pound, five-ounce largemouth from this same pond.  My guide party that I took to the pond on the 7th caught a 20" largemouth that I estimated at five pounds.  Of course, they also caught a 2.08-lb. coppernose bluegill that same afternoon, but who's counting...
